LONDON : HONG KONG : LOS ANGELES
Growing up between London and Bath influenced the British born designer, Natashia Miyazaki’s creative point of view.
Her love of fashion design began at an early age with her mother teaching her pattern making skills that have carried her throughout her career. Natashia began her early career as an assistant designer in the fashion industry while working in Bangkok and Bali at the age of 17.
This transformative experience allowed her to pursue her first collection –Harry Lunt, which gave Natashia recognition for being an innovator of creative style. Guess Brand was so impressed with her talent that they offered her a coveted position in their Hong Kong office, where she spent the next three years creating impressive top selling designs. Natashia was then offered a top design role alongside Sophia Amoruso, the founder of Nasty Gal, in Los Angeles, where she produced innovative designs, and balanced the role of production, sourcing and design for the highly successful brand. With her vast experience in fashion Natashia started her own label Paper Machine, and a created a lucrative design business along with becoming the VP of Design for The Front Row, A new e-commerce site for woman.
More recently she has been working on launching new brands with her entrepreneurial spirit and expertise she has found great success and has been recognised for her excellence by being featured in publications about design and Downtown L.A.
She is an unstoppable force of nature! Watch this space for more greatness.
These are my Husbands Japanese Grandparents.
They were hard working entrepreneurs that worked their whole lives right up until they passed.
One of their businesses was a fashion store in Osaka. They imported fine pieces from around the world and tailored them to fit each client. Grampa would source and hand select each piece and Grandma would meticulously alter them to fit each person perfectly.
I feel so honoured and blessed to have the opportunity to keep their name going and their fashion legacy lives on through William & I.
